  10/30/05: China — 4 die in tower crane collapseA TOWER crane collapse killed four men and left another one seriously injured in the Man Autonomous County of Qingyuan, Liaoning Province, a newspaper said yesterday. The five workers were dismantling the crane at a newly built residential complex on Friday morning when the mishap occurred. Three men were killed on the spot, and another one died at hospital, officials confirmed on Saturday. | Cache Copy | |

The crane will topple if overloaded. In addition, there are numerous other conditions, such as high winds, mechanical failure, and operator error that can cause the crane to topple.
